The other day while I was looking into cable packages on www.expertsatellite.com, I remembered that I needed to take care of a few final details for our upcoming trip. My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip out west to snowboard. I grew up skiing and I have never snowboarded, but it was something I had always wanted to try out. We must have reserved our lodging at least 6 months ago, but were waiting on airline fares to drop before we purchased them. They finally did last week, so that was out of the way. Now, all that was left was to book a shuttle from the airport to our hotel. We didn’t really NEED to rent a car since there were shuttles in the area that took you to and from the various resorts. I started researching our options and found that shuttles were as expensive as renting a car! We were probably better off just getting a car since we would then be spared the small fees of the various local shuttles we would need to take throughout the week.

My son really wants to have a nintendo ds, and since I bought my ipod touch 4 he is the one playing on it all the time. So he forgot about wanting the nintendo ds LOL.. We have a wii too and that really entertained him a lot when he is at home. He plays video games on it every day.

Anyway, nintendo ds are cool too because you can play it everywhere you go just like my ipod touch we take it everywhere and he plays on it and I am actually planning to get an ipad 2 for me on my birthday. Anyway, if you don't have an ipod touch or anything else that you can carry to entertain your kids then get them nintendo ds. They are not expensive!

Ribs and steak for dinner

I have few friends that are suffering from migraine. I can really tell that they are having a hard time! I am so glad I don't have a migraine. I get headache sometimes but it will go away if I take a medicine. I am just hoping that they will get better soon.

Being a new mom is great and it’s so nice that we bought the bigger house before the baby came. I would hate it if we were still in that condo with Casey and myself AND our son so it’s really nice to have the second and third bedrooms to give us more room to move around in. We got a dog, too, so having the backyard for him to play in has been crucial, too. I went to http://www.texaselectricityproviders.com when we first moved in to get our energy rates down and I also spent a lot of time looking into low-maintanence grass options for the backyard and hired a lawncare company to come a few times a week. It’s nice that I’m finally able to call this place our own and that we aren’t living underneath or above anyone anymore…there’s something to be said for living in a single family home. I love my little family and I can’t wait to expand it further one day when we decide we’re ready to have more kids!

I got up this morning and made breakfast for my family then we get dressed and went to Church. We only had one service today at church then we ate a delicious lunch. It was really good. Mom made roast, mash potatoes, green peas, green beans, corn and I love her gravy.. I enjoyed my lunch... Then, we got home taking off the Christmas tree LOL.. Yup Christmas evening we took off our Christmas tree so we will be done.. Tomorrow I am going to clean our house 'cause the house is so messy there are lots of new toys scattered everywhere lol..

It's now almost 11pm and my Jolaine is sleeping already and thought that I am going to work online for a lil bit. I didn't eat supper 'cause I am too full from my lunch.. I am a short person and I always used a step stool if I want to get something from our kitchen cabinets that I cannot reach. My husband is a tall person and he doesn't use a step stool and I told him how lucky he is because he is a pretty tall guy.

Unfortunately, being away from our house for a week brings with it the concerns that our home is unprotected. The good news is, my husband and I have home security family, and so we can rest assured that our home is in good hands while we’re away. I do not need to be concerned with the threat of burglary or fire while I’m trying to enjoy my time in Europe; I know that if there is an emergency the proper authorities will be notified immediately. I love dogs but I don't like having dogs at home. I have a friend before that has three kids, 1 fat dog, 2cats and birds and they live in apartment. Yeah it's really crazy! One time, I went to visit her and oh my it was a mess and their house was stinky! It's okay to have dogs but I'll rather let the dog stay outside the house.

Moving is such a pain in the butt, but you don’t really remember that until you pack up the car and start the process all over again. When I decided to go out west to California I was really excited, that is, until the movers came to my house and started packing everything up. I thought I had handled it all before: the utilities, the directv, the termite guy, but when I got out there I realized I hadn’t called to change my address, my car wasn’t registered in Cali and my health insurance didn’t transfer over. It was a lot to do all at once! My mom was great and flew out to help me because I was so overwhelmed, what with the new job and all. The only problem was that she brought her dog Scrappy and he and I got so attached I told her to leave him here when she left so now I’ve got a new dog on top of all the other stress I’m dealing with!

I just talked to her on the phone this morning and she was talking about getting her husband and her kids and live in Canada together someday. Since we had a new computer I couldn't publish post on blogger. What I did was I save as draft on my computer then I go to my ipod and published my post there it's really crazy so now I couldn't handle it anymore I asked my husband to help me with my problem I thought the javascript is disabled but couldn't find it in the browser settings. So hubby went to blogger and click the "try the new blogger interface" so I clicked it and I tried to publish my post and it works. I am so glad! Now, I can blog everyday. Thank goodness.

I love the summers not only because the weather is mostly nice, but also because that's the time when I get to spend a whole lot of time with my grandkids. They come and visit me for months at a time then and I spend a lot of time planning exactly what we're going to do while they're here. Well, this summer I knew that they wanted to go whale watching so I planned that for us to do.

My friend Lisa said that I looked so thin now. She wants me to gain weight a little lol. Well, I like being thin I don't want to be chubby. I am more energetic now than before.. So, I am going to stay skinny. I like it better this way :)

Anyway, I lost weight fast if I want too and it's really easy to do it. Some people are trying so hard to lose weight and they even take fat burners. If you want to lose weight you need to be careful of what you are eating. That's the number one thing you are going to do lol.

I throw tomatoe seeds at the flower bed at the back of our house and it's growing. This afternoon when I went outside it looked like it was dying. Well, it was so hot today outside and so I turned on the sprinkler. They just need water. I am so glad my plants looks better. I talked to my Mother and my sister last night. I am so glad I had my yahoo messenger on or else I am going to miss them again. Anyway, It was noisy at their area I didn't really understand what she was saying so I told her to just chat instead of talking.

They were doing fine. I am glad to know that my sister got two coursed instead of one I thought she graduated HRM but she graduated for Computer HS. She was a schoolar and she wasn't done on her HRM course yet. She still has one more year to go. Wow I thought she was really done schooling..

I have to say out of all the different types of talk shows on direct tv Dr. Phil is very family oriented, and offers so much information if you take the time to watch.

There have been so many articles that a family, or even individual in jepordy can relate to within his wonderful way of researching with a family in that crisis.

His talk shows go from aiding a teen in her weight loss and showing the teen that even celebrities have problems its not just the average teen because of lack of money or parenting that it happens to.

He also goes the foot to show teens and parents what to do in a crisis with drugs, alcohol, even sexual intervention to aid in keeping from getting an disease or even a teen pregnancy. What happens if the word jail time comes about for any young teen or adult.

Dr. Phil consults with Physicians to aid in different illnesses that is out there.

When he feels there is more of a need he has even opened a Dr. Phil house and have intervention among others doing the same thing so they not only hear from Dr. Phil but from each other as well.

Dr. Phil is to be commended in my beliefs because he takes the time, care and concern to put the information out there no matter what topic he researches and touches on.

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God’s protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her.

When the policeman asked him, he answered, “Because she wasn’t alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.” Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you’re never alone. Vests are definitely having a moment in fashion right now. But most of them are actually pretty edgy instead of sweater vests. I really want a vest that's kind of somewhere in between though because I'm not quite into the edgy stuff because I still want to touch on that trend, so I'm going to make one myself.

I've never made any clothing before but I've been feeling pretty ambitious since I got a sewing machine for Christmas and thought this would be the perfect way to break it in. I looked up some patterns online with my Satellite ISP and picked out the one that looked the simplest.

For my cute DIY vest I picked out this tweed fabric that looks so classic and I think that it will go with all kinds of stuff and I can wear it for years to come. Here's to hoping that my sewing holds up that long! IÕve started cutting the fabric for the pattern and am a little nervous to actually start sewing, but I just need to jump right in.
